Nom Dong Dott

  INGREDIENT

  • 4 egg whites
  • tsp. cream of tartar
  • 5 cups sweetened flake coconut
  • cup granulated sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 Tbsp. almond extract

  RECIPE

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff.
  3. Add all other ingredients with a spatula.
  4. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of mix onto a heavily greased cookie sheet. (Some cooks use aluminum foil to line the trays.) The macaroons will spread a bit, so do not place too close to one another.
  5. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until coconut starts to brown.
  6. Remove to a plate and allow to cool. Refrigerate or serve at room temperature.
