According to the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Thong Khon, from December 19-25, 2022, the country received a total of 439,046 tourists

There were 402,347 Cambodians and 36,699 foreign visitors.

Major tourist destinations include:

* Preah Sihanouk Province 190,015 people

* Siem Reap Province 76,022 people

* Phnom Penh 32,175 people

* Kampot Province 27,681 people

*Battambang Province 19,970 peopl

* Kampong Cham Province 14,161 people

* Kep Province 10,878 people.

Mr. Thong Khon said that the private sector continues to be optimistic about the flow of tourists by the end of 2022, especially the preparation for the New Year (Countdown) this weekend.

The capital-provincial administration has been decorating its locality, along with entertaining events such as concerts and fireworks celebrations.

For the first 11 months of 2022, Cambodia has received about 11.64 million domestic tourists and 1.91 million international visitors.

According to the forecast for the whole year 2022, Cambodia may receive a total of 12.5-13 million national tourists, exceeding the plan set in the road map on the restoration and promotion of tourism in and after the COVID-19 crisis, while international tourists will increase to about 2.2 million in 2022.
