Cambodia promotes its tourism potentials and international events to be hosted in 2022 and 2023 to Chinese market
(Guangzhou - China): The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation participated in the Guangzhou International Travel Fairs (GITF) 2021, which will be held from 4th-6th December 2021 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, the People's Republic of China.
Guangzhou International Travel Fairs 2021 is attended by national and international buyers and sellers, including 500 booths, 500 sellers from 55 countries, 300 local buyers and 30 international media. The first day of the event Cambodia Booth was awarded as "The Best Attraction Tourist Destination", the event is expected to receive more than 20,000 visitors.
In this GITF 2021, the Ministry of Tourism has promoted the success of vaccination campaign through out the country, reaching more than 88.55% of the total 16 million population and announced the reopening for fully vaccinated travelers entering Cambodia without quarantine from November 15, 2021. The team also promoted Cambodia as the host of "ASEAN Tourism Forum 2022" under the theme "ASEAN - Community of Peace and Shared Future" in Sihanoukville from 16 to 22 January 2022, and the host of the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games to be held from May 5 to 17 and June 1 to 10, 2023 under the theme "Sports Live "Peace."
