More than 700,000 tourists present at Preah Sihanouk for Sea Festival
The 9th Sea Festival ended to a great success with Preah Sihanouk seeing more than 700,000 tourists who attended the three-day festival.
This is according to the Minister of Tourism Thong Khon, yesterday. He said that on the third day of the festival (December 11), there were more than 300,000 people present, while on the first and second days, there were a total of 400,000 people.
“During the three days of the Sea Festival in Sihanoukville, there were a total of more than 700,000 guests, including 708,000 nationals and 4,000 foreigners,” he said.
Minister Khon said that people enjoyed the festival and some of the people continued on to visit other tourist destinations.
He said that Sihanoukville authorities are still organizing the festival on the night of the 12th, and if people and tourists will still participate, the province will continue on the 13th.
