Three-day CamFood expo to begin on November 16
With most parameters of the economy promising better picture post-Covid19, the organisers of CamFood/CamHotel Expo, Cambodia’s premier exhibition for the F&B and HORECA industry, announced its plans to organise a three-day event, starting on November 16, 2022, to signal a strong revival of Cambodia’s tourism and its affiliated sectors.
The global B2B event for the hospitality and the F&B sectors is expected to have the participation of over 300 local and international exhibitors and brands, and bring together 15,000 industry experts and professionals from over 16 countries under one roof during the event.
The CamFood/CamHotel 2022 and Cam Build 2022, the biggest international building and construction industry show of the Kingdom, was announced at a press conference on October 27.
The upcoming event, the seventh in its series, since its beginning in 2009, is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors during the three-day.
The CamFood expo, to be hosted by the Cambodia Tourism Federation, is set to be officiated by Minister of Tourism Thong Khon on November 16 at the DIECC, Koh Pich, Phnom Penh.
The event will feature many added attractions like co-located competitions, culinary masterclasses, coffee workshops, exclusive shows, seminars, presentations, interactions, and much more.
“After two years of slowdown in the tourism industry, we are definitely starting to see a rebound in the tourism-related segments. We believe the organization of CamFood will bring confidence by bringing together industry professionals to network, share experiences, and make new business partnerships”, said Darren Slow, a member of the CamFood organising team, on the occasion of the announcement of the upcoming event.
Among the key highlights will be over 80 exhibitors/brands entering the Cambodian market first time to explore new business opportunities, and tie-ups with local partners, importers, and distributors, said the organizing team.
“On behalf of the Cambodia Hotel Association, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the biggest F&B and hospitality industry event in Cambodia. CamFood/CamHotel 2022 is where hospitality and food service professionals can get together to see a whole range of HORECA solutions, share experiences and have fun in one place,” said Somethearith Din, national president of the Cambodia Hotel Association.
Many of the participating exhibitors at CamBuild 22 are foreign manufacturers who are yet to showcase their products in the Cambodian market and are looking to join hands with local partners/traders. It offers a huge opportunity to build new business partnerships with these companies and brands.
The organisers have planned for business meetings to facilitate better interactions, exchange of ideas, trade, and investment among participants as well as local businesses.
A job fair for new and prospective candidates will also be organized during the event by the Cambodia Hotel Association. According to the event organisers, 15 hotels and hospitality organisations are likely to set up their stalls and offer job guidance.
While the 2018-19 event had attracted 350 exhibitors, the organizers hope that this year over 500 brands will be showcased by over 150 exhibitors.
