Around Siem Reap

In the city, going about on foot is perhaps the most leisurely and rewarding. There are many things to buy and see when you are in Siem Reap.

Along the streets, there are many shops offering services and goods ranging from the basic necessities to fine silk. You will also find chic galleries with beautiful display of local art pieces and lots of souvenirs; large shopping centres where you can relax and browse the many offers in air-conditioned comfort.

Side streets and alleys are lined with pubs, restaurants and shops that sell exotic items and valuable historical monuments that you will probably not find anywhere else. Cafes and eateries serve from tasty Khmer fares such as Amok and Khmer curry to pizzas, hamburgers and an array of international cui-sines that will satisfy just about any palette.

Stroll down Pub Street and mingle with the crowd. You need not be a drinker to be on Pub Street. There are many restaurants, snack shops, and cafes and the ambience is what makes Pub Street such a happening place. Visit one of the many fish pedicure places to have your feet treated; an experience that promises to thrill.
There is never a lack of colours while in Siem Reap.

When one is done exploring the temples and the town, head out for some adventure and excitement. Check out the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. There are communities of people living on the Tonle Sap Lake. On the lake, there are homes, schools, clinics, churches, temples, police posts, restaurants, cafes and shops. Many people have taken to living on top of the water.

For more exciting enjoyment, book a Quad bike to explore the villages. Offers are from an hour to a few days. This is an exciting way to tour the countryside and truly have a great time.

You can also go on a zipline across the jungle inside the Angkor Archaeological Park. Siem Reap has much to offer besides the majestic temples.
