APSARA National Authority considers a tourist circuit for visitors at Takeo temple
APSARA National Authority has received a proposal for a tourist circuit for visitors at Takeo temple to ensure the promotion of cultural heritage, maintenance of public order, obtaining a good experience, viewing all areas of the temple, and avoiding congestion for visiting tourists.
Chamroeun Vinea, Technical Officer of the Department of Tourism Development and Culture, said that her working team has planned the visiting circuit, by improving the environment around the temple and cutting some tree branches to make a walkway. The temple has directional signs and information boards on the history of the temple so that tourists can find out for themselves.
Vinea continued that the visiting circuit arrangement provides many benefits to tourists, as it will bring tourists to all corners of the temple, as well as be able to capture beautiful pictures. Before arriving, tourists can walk under the cool shade of trees, which is a feature of Takeo. She added that the above proposal has been submitted to ICC-Angkor experts and heads of the APSARA National Authority to review and evaluate the approval before proceeding.
At the same time, APSARA National Authority would like to appeal to all national and international tourists who visit the temples in the Angkor site, please respect the Angkor Code of Conduct and other signs in the temples to ensure safety and dignity to raise the value of the Angkor World Heritage Site.
