Cambodia bags 17 ASEAN tourism awards
Cambodia has won a total of 17 awards at the ASEAN Tourism Awards in four different categories.
The awarding ceremony was held on February 5 in Yukarta, Indonesia, during the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023.
Thong Rathsak, Director General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism, said, “On that occasion, ASEAN also presented 17 awards to tourism sites in Cambodia, located in the capital and provinces.”
Rathsak continued that the representatives of the Cambodian winners, include representatives of community owners, project owners, officials of the Department of Tourism from Phnom Penh, Koh Kong, Kampot, Sihanoukville. Kampong Speu and Kampong Thom.
The Director General of Tourism Development confirmed that the awards include: ASEAN Homestay Award, ASEAN Spa Service Award and more.
He added that by winning the ASEAN Tourism Standards 2023 Award, as well as the development of many infrastructures and the organization of large-scale successful events in Cambodia, it has become clear that Cambodia has many attractive destinations.
