Ultra Trail expert says Cambodia best destination for various sports events
Edouard George, President of Phoenix Voyages, an expert in organizing long distance events (Ultra Trail), considered Cambodia as the best destination for organizing various sports events, especially in the Angkor area.
He made the remarks at a press conference on the 6th Angkor Ultra Trail 2023, which will be held on February 4 in Siem Reap. The conference was held in the presence of Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
This year’s Angkor Ultra Trail will be held in six events, including 100km, 64km, 42km, 32km, 16km and 8km. So far, there have been more than 800 participants from 37 countries.
“The first important thing is that the location is a special place, which means that it is a unique tourist destination of Cambodia and has unique features that cannot be compared to other countries. Most French people like the heritage area, the historical area is a very attractive place,” George said.
