Sar Sokha organized a marathon under the theme “Let’s go to the polls”
Sar Sokha, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Vice President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) in charge of Prey Veng, Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces, and Ms. Ke Suon Sophy presided over the marathon under the theme ” Let’s go to the polls” at Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim Park, Prey Veng Province this morning.
The event was also attended by athletes, government officials, forces, leaders, and members of the UYFC of Prey Veng province, the population, youth, and students, comprising 1,357 people.
Sokha emphasized that the marathon program under the theme “Let’s go to the polls” was held to celebrate the closing ceremony of the UYFC Sports Awards Prey Veng Province 2023 and especially to celebrate the 7th National Assembly Election which will be held this Sunday, which is an important event every 5 years to determine the fate of the nation and the people of Cambodia as a whole.
At the same time, Sokha called on all young men, women and students to play sports for health, solidarity and to avoid drugs and other evils, to implement the policy of safe villages, communes and districts, as well as to contribute to the national campaign on “a person must play at least one sport in life.” Sports live in peace.
He also called on all Cambodians on the voter list to go to the polls on Sunday, July 23, 2023 to continue to maintain peace and development.
