The Minister of Tourism has stated a that there has been a rise in weekly tourism numbers for the past 7 days

Mr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, on November 7, 2022, said that the number of domestic tourists from October 31 to November 6, 2022 was a total of 803,413 people, including 772,942 national guests and 30,471 domestic foreigners.

The main tourist destinations are:
* Kampot Province 207,245 people
* Preah Sihanouk Province 160,460 people
* Banteay Meanchey Province 123,856 people
* Kampong Thom Province 107,904 people
* Siem Reap Province 43,492 people
* Takeo Province 29,155 people
* Phnom Penh Province: 22,954 people.

The above figures do not include tourists for the royal holiday, the Water Festival, the floating of lanterns and the worship of the moon Ok Ambok.

Last week, some provinces such as Kampong Thom, Banteay Meanchey and Kampot organized boat races, lanterns, fireworks, exhibitions and other entertainment events.

Residents have left Phnom Penh for their hometowns, as well as starting tours from Saturday and continuing until the official Royal Water Festival holiday, and possibly until this weekend.
